In and Around Brisbane

After getting a good night’s sleep, I woke up and made a quick trip to the Roma Street Parklands. I spent about 15 minutes walking around and taking some macro photos of the plants. Afterwards I made my way through downtown Brisbane to a bus stop for the next part of my journey.

After a 30 minute bus ride I was at the top of Mount Coot-Tha overlooking the Brisbane skyline. Although it was hazy it was still nice to have a bird’s eye view of the city. I then began hiking through the forests down the mountain. It was a lovely hike even in the 90˚ heat.

Once returning to Brisbane I picked up my bags from the hotel and made my way to the train station. I thought I was supposed to catch a train to Casino however it turned out I was scheduled to take a coach bus. I wasn’t optimistic about a 3 hour bus ride but it turned out to be quite nice. The scenery was spectacular and made the journey more enjoyable.

Once in Casino I caught a 7:30 PM overnight train scheduled to arrive in Brisbane at 7:00 AM the next morning.
