Sydney

I started out my first full day in Sydney by waking up at 6:00 AM and taking a bus to Bondi Beach. As Bondi is one of the most famous and most popular beaches in the world, it was crowded even before the sun had risen. As I waited to catch the sun coming up over the horizon I waded in the shallows to photograph the unique scenery.

After sunrise I began a 3 1/2 mile walk along the Eastern Coastline. Sydney has many very popular walks and the path from Bondi Beach to Coogee Beach is one of them. The scenery is spectacular especially just after dawn. I spent a good 2 hours on Sydney’s coastline before I caught a bus back to the hotel so I could nap.

I woke up for the second time that day at around noon and immediately began my adventures for that afternoon. I first walked from my hotel in Sydney’s Central Business District through Hyde Park and the Royal Botanical Gardens to main attraction, the Sydney Opera House. I took an hour long tour of the Opera House with the main goal of being able to say that I did.

After the tour I jumped on one of Sydney’s ferries and journeyed across the harbor to Kirribilli. From there I hiked another one of the famous trails to Cremorne Point. It was here where I spent some time photographing a small lighthouse and the Sydney Skyline from a distance.

According to my phone I walked 12+ miles today so I decided to head back to the hotel and get a good night’s sleep.
